Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the HR Manager and working with the wider EMEA HR team, the senior HRA will provide professional, hands-on and appropriate advice, support and guidance to managers across all EMEA markets on employee relations activities and casework, demonstrating a good understanding of CIBT’s culture, policies and procedures, employment law and best HR practice.
- The role is wide ranging, encompassing the timely co-ordination of employee communication through a variety of channels to ensure ease of access, clarity and consistency.
- Maintains and where necessary creates a database of all template letters for the purpose of employee relations
- Acts as an experienced HR Advisor at formal meetings with employees, such as disciplinary meetings, grievance hearings, and other cases that require a solid ER experience
- Manages staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and manage their expectations
- Assists and oversees the monitoring of the HR Inbox, providing advice and guidance to more junior HR team members as and when needed
- Contributes to the planning and delivery of all internal communication and engagement initiatives
- Ensures accuracy, consistency and fairness across all markets

- Supports line managers throughout probationary periods, ensuring that any performance issues are addressed in a timely manner, and appropriate advice and guidance provided
- Works with other teams within the company in an efficient, proactive way to ensure a first-class service is delivered at all times

- Undertakes all other reasonable duties as requested by the Senior HR team and supports with additional group projects and activities as required
- Acts as key point of contact for health, safety and wellbeing in UK, working with the Office Manager to ensure adequate risk assessments, fire, health and safety and first aid training and liaising with external partners on workstation assessments.
- Provides line managers with timely advice, guidance and support on employee relations, legislation, people policies, processes and procedures covering the full employee lifecycle, escalating to the Senior HR team as appropriate.
- Supports the Senior HR team with the implementation and management of the performance development process in the EMEA region.
- Act as the HRIS champion for HR team and assists in providing additional support and guidance for regions as necessary, working with the Senior HR team to organise and implement additional training, training manuals and materials and follow up where appropriate.
- Coordinates the monthly UK payroll, cross-checking as required and preparing for Payroll Manager/Senior HR team sign off.
- Together with the Senior HR team as part of a wider approach to benefits and reward, reviews and suggests improvements to the benefit offering for the EMEA region.
- Coaches and develops teams to maximize performance and enables line managers to be self-sufficient in people management activities.

Skills and Experience
ESSENTIAL
- Fluent English
- A proactive approach and the ability to multi-task a changing workload efficiently and effectively
- The willingness to be flexible to ensure employees and internal managers are offered a first-class HR service
- Solid experience in complex HR issues including disciplinary, capability, grievances, redundancy and TUPE
- Solid experience advising managers on HR matters and making recommendations
- Strong degree of autonomy and the ability to manage their own case load efficiently, in a timely manner and with minimal supervision
- Comfortable with ambiguity and change
- Ability and confidence to communicate with people and stakeholders at all levels
- Confident dealing with colleagues from all levels of the organization
- Strong collaboration skills
- Business, Administration, Language, HR or Psychology related degree or equivalent
- Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet targets and deadlines
- Experience working in an international environment
- Ability to travel to other office locations in the UK and EMEA when needed
- IT proficiency with the ability to quickly learn new systems
- CIPD qualified or working towards
DESIRABLE
- Previous line management experience
- Previous experience in the Travel or Media industries
- Fluent in Spanish or another European language
