Airport Security Officer
Salary including shift pay and allowance £29,578 - £36,218 (subject to roster and hours worked)
Fixed Rosters - Shifts operate on a rolling basis that gives you the flexibility to plan your personal life, you will know when you are needed several months in advance.
1. 0600-1800 and 1800-0600 – 4 on 4 off shift pattern – 12 hour shifts
or
2. Starting as early as 0315 and finishing no later than 2200 - maximum 9.75 hour shift length – primarily 5 on 3 off pattern
or
3. Variable shift (Fx Roster) this includes a combination of different length shifts between 0245 and 2300. The shifts for this roster are provided 2 weeks in advance, but it is the highest paid roster.

What is the role?
As an Airport Security Officer you will be working in busy passenger facing areas providing the best customer experience whilst maintaining safety and security. On shift you'll be greeting people and carrying out searches on passengers and colleagues including their bags and personal effects.

What will you do?
After successfully completing training and passing the NXCT exams:
- Work in a small team with other security officers and the wider airport teams to deliver great passenger experience.
- Complete regular training to maintain our high screening standards and that of our regulator the CAA
- Check identification / travel documents and perform full security screening for all passengers and staff entering secure areas.
- Use colour X-Ray images to screen passenger belongings and identify what is in them
- Assist with health, safety or security incidents
