This band 3 post is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills to join our Urology Nursing team.
The team provide largely outpatients services, presently at City and Sandwell Hospitals. The role will involve both clerical and clinical duties to enhance patient care.
This is a full time post with some cross site working.

The clerical duties would include booking appointments, sending out appointment letters/patient information, answering telephone queries regarding appointments and other duties to support the service provided by the group.
The clinical aspects will include; undertaking flow rate investigations once training is completed, assisting other team members with patient clinics. Preparing the environment and patients for procedures in accordance with infection control guidelines.
The successful candidate will need to be computer literate in order to use our automated appointment system.
You must be able to work under pressure as part of a team. You will require good interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise your own workload.
There will be a requirement to learn the patient administration systems and clinical skills to undertake flow rate investigations safely.
As a full time post, the successful candidate will be expected to work 37.5 hours over a working week, presently Monday to Friday, with flexibility.
Future opportunities within surgical services will lie at the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital, a purpose built acute hospital due to be completed in 2023, which on opening will become not just a major healthcare hub within the local region but within Europe as a whole.
