Kids In Charge exists to give children the most amazing experience with Breakfast and Afterschool wraparound care! We ensure they thrive and extend themselves to their fullest potential. We strive to stimulate children to explore, to wonder at the environment and wider world. Our staff is our richest resource and without great adults who are equally enthusiastic about the outcomes for children, we could not do what we do!
The role:
* Help the children explore outdoors with walks to the park or playground
* Keep them entertained with fun activities like board games, arts and crafts, and baking (if you have a special skill or passion, you can teach the kids this too!)
* Supporting them with reading, homework, and extra school work they may have
* Be able to provide extra sessions such as football sessions and dance lessons
* Experience in working with SEN children

You’ll love this role if:
* You’ve worked with children before as a volunteer, babysitter, or any previous role working with children.
* You’re a student who loves working with kids.
* You’re a trained childcare professional with experience in wraparound care, nurseries, or schools
Desirable:
* People who are passionate about caring for children (You don't have to be qualified as we do have opportunity to develop and gain qualifications within the company)
* We are looking for an experienced playworker with NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent, who has a sound awareness and knowledge of children with additional needs. You must have experience in managing challenging behaviour. Makaton, PECS, and Visual timetables are strongly desired. are also looking for qualified SEN playworkers!
Can you work with children with special educational needs? that would be an extra benefit!
And If you have a clean driving licence are happy to drive our 9 seater mini bus that is even better
