Home: Tyne Grange
Location: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE4 8RR
Hours: 2 positions available: 1 x 40 hours per week nights, 1 x 40 hours per week days
Shifts: 12-hour shifts,
Hourly rate: £10.06 per hour

About Tyne Grange:
Tyne Grange supports 20 younger adults living with complex mental health needs and neuro-disabilities, we pride ourselves for doing so without ever using agency staff since we opened, this means you will be supported by a strong and reliable team.
The home has two small units, Tyne Grange is not your average care home - you will be supporting younger adults to live their life to the fullest; including daily trips and outings to community settings and leisure activities.
Tyne Grange opened in 2020 and following there first inspection in May 2022 has been rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and has an average rating of 5 out of 5 on carehome.co.uk.
About the role
As a senior health care assistant you will provide warmth, enthusiasm and compassion when providing care to our service users. You will always strive to provide great quality holistic care, making every day better than the last by working pro-activity to meet the needs of our service users.
You will also be a team player, demonstrating outstanding communication skills and will be able to demonstrate effective team work. You will lead, demonstrating outstanding professional practice whilst coaching other in your team. You will promote the core values of care, maintaining independence and dignity while assisting with personal care, ensuring the physical and emotional needs of our service users are met.
Key duties
Promote independence, dignity, respect and choice across service users
Support your care team in carrying out their roles; from assisting with medication and personal hygiene, to supporting organised outings
Maintain care records; recording observations, activities and assessments
Liaise with nurses, GPs and social workers to ensure service users are receiving the medical support required
Review the care and support delivered in a daily basis
Welcome and train new members of your care team
Previous care experience within a reputable health care provider and NVQ qualifications in Health and Social Care would be advantageous.
