A growing Digital/Design Consultancy based in Sheffield, UK with a dedicated team of specialists, working primarily with the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare sectors, and providing high quality work for our clients, to often tight deadlines.
Senior Graphic Designer The Role:
This is a great opportunity for a creative person with at least 5 years of experience in the industry.
Reporting into the Creative Lead and Studio Director, we re looking for someone who can create eye-catching visuals, is creative, flexible and able to work well with others. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to showcase their existing skills, build upon them, and become an integral and committed member of the team.
Being a small company, we value skills across other disciplines, and we believe in training our team members in other skill sets of interest.
We are open to discussing a full time as well as part-time position. A part time example would be 3-4 days per week or 5 days per week within school hours (e.g., 9.30-15.00).
Senior Graphic Designer Key Responsibilities:
- Brand creation and event branding (including print design and digital design)
- UI/UX design for digital apps and websites and prototyping
- Storyboarding for animation and video
- More prescriptive design layout work, optimising client-supplied content
- Creating print and digital materials from supplied brand guidelines
- Designing PowerPoint slide templates from supplied brand guidelines
- Re-draws including charts and diagrams
- Designing infographics for print and web
- Producing brand guidelines
- Support with in-house marketing creative work and in-house brand development
Senior Graphic Designer You:
- High-level expertise in Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to Photoshop, XD, InDesign and Illustrator
- A diverse portfolio which demonstrates proficiency in design and artworking
- Ability to maintain a high creative standard of work while working at pace to meet client deadlines
- Ability to offer creative solutions and suggestions to clients who are unsure of the best course of action or need guidance in regard to design
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with brand guidelines and develop established brands
Ability to work with the other Senior Designers/Studio Director to help to improve and maintain studio procedures and explore new ideas or approaches by raising ideas or concerns as and when they occur
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and hardworking
- Happy to work 100% remotely but a proactive communicator
- Team player, interested in immersing yourself in the growth and success of a small business
- Ability to work collaboratively with the design team offering honest feedback of others work and accepting feedback on your own work
- To attend weekly design meetings, offering creative input and sharing ideas with the wider team
- A strong desire to learn and progress within the sector
- You will need to be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Ability to take projects from initial brief to supply of final files
- Experience of working in healthcare and pharma would be beneficial
- Excellent grasp of English, spelling & grammar
- Happy to take the initiative with briefs and bring new ideas to the team
- Experience of designing for animation is a benefit, but not a requirement
