Enfield Legal Services are expanding and have a number of exciting roles, to complement the existing team. Working closely with the Monitoring Officer, the Senior Governance Lawyer will provide advice on all matters relating to the constitution and governance. The post holder will also support the Monitoring Officer in councilor conduct matters and so you will need to be able to demonstrate political sensitivity and an ability to quickly establish positive relationships with a range of senior stakeholders. We are looking for candidates with experience in this area and with an interest in working on constitutional matters, governance, ethics and probity. You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to understand complex legislation and advise non-lawyers on the implications of it. You will be required to deliver presentations and training to members and officers.

The role will sometimes require working outside normal office hours and cross-working with other teams within the department.
