Position: Senior Finance Assistant
Location: Glasgow, Head Office, with the opportunity to work from home
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Salary: £30-35k per annum, depending on experience
Benefits: 28+4 days annual leave, attractive pension, flexible work location, and as much coffee as you can drink!
Purpose of Role:
As the Senior Finance Assistant, your main role is to assist the Finance Team with a wide variety of accountancy tasks including bank reconciliations; distribution cost analysis; processing staff expenses; month end close support, and VAT reconciliations.

Purpose of Role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly reports.
- Ensure correct reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Work closely with head of departments to support in all financial matters.
- Support with and respond to frequent queries from our sister company Tchibo Coffee in Epsom Head Office & German departments e.g. queries over results, operations and analyse / drill down into data to provide explanation, discuss assumptions and break high level figures down into further detail for background.
- Act as full backup to Finance Manager / wider finance team if they need support or are unavailable.
- VAT Production, EC Sales and Intrastat Reporting.
- Prepare monthly Customer and Supplier Rebates, laisse with Third Parties as required.
- Forecasting.
About you:
- CIMA / ACA / ACCA part qualified.
- Competent in all Microsoft Office packages specifically Excel to a highly advanced level.
- Knowledge and experience of using Dynamics 365.
- Knowledge and experience of using an ERP system.
- Excellent communication skills for presentation of information both verbally and in written format.
- Attention to detail to evidence accuracy in all work produced and complete / follow through on all tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal ability to forge productive working relationships which will advance the work of the team and aid remote working.
