About The Role
To provide dedicated analytical support and effective expense reporting for the Enterprise function at Vitality, which includes IT, Change, Group Operations and R&D.
Working closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner and wider Business Partnering team to:
- Act as a lead on ensuring accuracy of accounting and forecasting for supported areas,
- Produce monthly and ad hoc analysis on expenses and project spend,
- To provide insight and understanding of the detail within the transactional data; and
- Ensure compliance to accounting timelines regarding month-end and budgeting.
- Coordination and completion of all month-end tasks for the functions supported within the appropriate deadlines
- Maintain timely forecasting and support with annual budget cycle
- Build and maintain an excellent understanding of the responsible cost centres cost base in terms of transactional detail.
- Ensuring accuracy of Anaplan output while ensuring reconciliation to business partner expectations.
- Lead on ad-hoc analysis driven by own interpretation of key risk and opportunities within the functions supported.
- Produce standard consistent reporting in a timely manner for review.
- Ensure rigorous governance and accurate accounting principles are applied and followed throughout as well as actively seeking process efficiencies where appropriate.
- Respond and communicate with business stakeholders on routine finance queries.
- Support junior members of the team with day-to-day tasks and processes.
- Provide ad-hoc assistance to the Senior Finance Business Partner.
- Proven experience in expense or analyst roles within a Finance team.
- Ability to work constructively with finance stakeholders, providing them with support in processes and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience of managing multiple priorities to strict deadlines.
- A self-starter who works diligently with ambition to develop the role.
- Relevant or working towards an accounting qualification – CIMA, ACA, AAT or equivalent.
- Advanced user of Excel, Sage and Anaplan, with experience in data processing and analysis.
- Experience in analysing budgets and forecasts, specifically IT or Project related.
- Ability to work with business stakeholders.
