The Role
We have an opportunity for a Senior Security Engineer to work within our existing Electronic & Physical Security design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for projects across the UK, Europe and the Middle East and will be expected to travel to support this work accordingly. You will be responsible for all design aspects of project delivery for security projects requiring Electronic and/or Physical security measures. This will include delivering to clients' requirements, managing effective professional and technical advice offered to programme, budget and the required quality standards for projects across our portfolio.
Responsibilities
To carry out security surveys of existing solutions and provide reports including security upgrade recommendations and budgetary costings.
To carry out concept, outline, scheme and detailed designs for electronic security systems.
To carry out design works for physical security measures against manual forced entry.
To provide contract and tender documentation, tender works, analyze tenders and award contracts.
To monitor works, witness testing and commissioning and provide close-out documentation.
To liaise with colleagues, clients, suppliers, manufacturers and contractors to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Successful candidates would be expected to attend appropriate training seminars and conferences to develop and maintain an expertise in security engineering.
Qualifications
HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years' experience in a relevant role.
Relevant experience in design of physical security solutions.
Obtain and maintain Ministry of Defence security clearance at SC level, followed by enhanced clearance, if deemed necessary.
The company will sponsor successful candidates to attend appropriate further education, including Degree and Masters qualifications.
