Job description
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the office calendar
- Collect and update patient information, including insurance details
- File and maintain patient records in an organized manner
- Assist with billing and payment processing using QuickBooks or similar software
- Provide excellent customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations
- Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, and scanning documents
- Act as a personal assistant to the office manager or healthcare provider as needed
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and scanners
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures (for medical receptionist roles)
- Knowledge of dental office operations (for dental receptionist roles)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
