Why You’re Needed
Having launched a successful new website and hired a new roster of agency partners in 2019, S Jones Containers is looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Executive to help realise the business’s ambitious commercial growth targets across multiple business units.
Working closely with the marketing team and various third-party agencies and service providers, in this role you will monitor lead quality and seek to match the volume of the leads to the needs of the department as well as the most profitable/effective use of PPC and SEO and report on the results, costs and ROI.
Despite being a family-owned business, we are by no means behind the digital marketing curve, and work very closely with some of the best specialist agencies the UK has to offer. This means you’ll work closely with experts in PPC, SEO, web development and Conversion Rate Optimisation on a daily basis, and will have numerous opportunities to learn, test your exciting marketing ideas, and make a real impact on the company’s future!
What We’re Offering
In addition to a salary of £33-35k (depending on experience), this role will offer you the autonomy, resources and support to assist in the development and implementation of digital Marketing Strategies on behalf of the 4 revenue generating areas of the business.
Main Duties and Tasks

In line with Company objectives:
- Assist in the development and implementation of digital Marketing Strategies on behalf of the 4 revenue generating areas of the business.
- Create and manage digital marketing campaigns aligned to wider sales activities.
- Using analytical insight, identify ways in which customer experience can be improved.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of promotional campaigns and lead generation.
- To liaise closely with other Departments to monitor lead quality and seek to match the volume of the leads to the needs of the department.
- To liaise with all agencies/subcontractors to ensure value for money, quality and timely provision of services.
- To make the most profitable/effective use of PPC and SEO and report on the results, costs and ROI.
- Monitor external supplier / stakeholder relationships, such as 3rd party agencies to ensure the successful and cost- effective provision of services and marketing objectives.
- To record and report key performance information as deemed necessary or requested.
- Work with all other Departments of the Company to maximise harmony in working relationships and practices;
- Always seek to increase knowledge about the business the Company carries out.
- To attend and actively participate in any training, on site or off as reasonably requested by the company.
- Carry out any other duties which the Company feels you are capable, e.g. supporting other staff positions either day to day or in holiday/absence situations;
What we’re looking for
- Commercially astute, defining and monitoring measures of commercial success and responding to market trends
- An analytical brain – understanding statistical information is a key element of this role and the person will be expected to report and deliver departmental reports, finding answers in the data on a monthly / weekly basis
- Practical hands-on approach to working
- Experience in challenging the norm and being a role model for marketing excellence
- Marketing degree
- Working knowledge of Hubspot
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
