Job purpose:

Senior Digital Lead acts as trusted advisor digital & technology Business Partner, working closely with Commercial and Medical teams to identify new opportunities to apply trend technologies with the goals of simplification, optimization, and engagement with clients, third parties, and patients in order to promote more digital working practices and potential new business models to produce effective results at scale.

Overview:

This role is the single point of contact for digital & technology that is responsible for orchestrating the stakeholders and ensuring the adequate provision of technology enabled Business capabilities. Also aligns and executes operational and project level digital and tech activities by partnering and working with Global/Regional/ Market Tech and Business.

  • Acts as a digital & technology business partner working closely with Commercial and Medical Teams
  • Leads the commercial and medical omnichannel transformation and commercial & medical integrated working for the Business Units by advocating omnichannel mindset
  • Becomes the ‘face of tech’ for local leadership, contributing to discussions as required and managing digital & tech escalations to support local business continuity. This includes Information Security and compliance activities.
  • Mentors Business colleagues as appropriate to demonstrate how existing technologies can be utilized in a more efficient manner and how emerging technologies can support business enablement.
  • Supports Business technology training and education to help increase technology literacy and drive customer outcomes
  • Works closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements for market specific products and appropriately manage the product backlog to prioritize and implement product features as required to enable business needs.
  • Works closely with global/regional/ local product and projects teams, 3rd parties for the enablement of omnichannel capabilities as per the requirements of the Business Units.
  • Ensures that local products have appropriate cyber security controls in place and aligned to any local legal, regulatory, compliance requirements, eg, local data storage and management requirements.
  • Works closely with business to understand whether implemented products and additional features are functioning as intended and identify any amendments required to add to the product

Complexity of the role: (degree of change & uncertainty; level of influencing required; degree of matrix working)

  • Will be the bridge between global/ regional product and project teams and local Commercial, Medical and Commercial Excellence teams.
  • Requires good soft skills for engaging with different levels of the Business and global Digital Fuel and Tech organisations.
  • Manages relationships in Global Tech, Commercial Tech and Business in the market supported with the inherent complexity of cultures, economies and time zones.

  • Good experience in Digital & Technology, ideally having worked for a Commercial Business partnering/Tech role with Digital and Technology experience, preferably at Pharma sector
  • Good understanding of omnichannel ecosystem, preferably at Pharma sector
  • Good understanding of Agile practice
  • Strong vendor management skills
  • Good business acumen, communication and storytelling skills
  • Multi-national company working experience with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
  • Ability to manage complexity and derive simplicity from it whenever possible
  • Strong matrix working skills, including networking and teamwork abilities
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and prioritisation skills with a flexible attitude as priorities change.
  • Ability to proactively coach and develop staff across the varying countries and cultures.
  • Ability to strategic thinking, planning and fast learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong spoken and written skills in English
  • Knowledge and experience for Pharma omnichannel ecosystem
  • Knowledge of Innovation hubs, HealthTechs and Future Literacy
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile project management and ITIL
  • Knowledge in Emerging Technologies (AI/ ML, Digital Twins, BlockChain, Iot etc), Cx, CRM, RPA, e-commerce, API
