As an experienced and supportive team, you will be joining an MDT that values psychology input. Multi-disciplinary team working is central to the role. We are establishing a formulation led programme of interventions including DBT and CBT informed psychoeducational group interventions as well as individual work. You will be involved in providing teaching, supervision and consultation to other team members as well as working directly with service users and their families. You will take a lead in the development and provision of additional psychoeducational group interventions along with MDT colleagues.
You will work closely with other psychology staff who use a range of approaches including CFT, ACT, CBT, EMDR, and psychodynamic work. We have strong links with the Clinical Psychology Doctorate course at Staffordshire University, the Counselling Psychology Doctorate course at Wolverhampton University and the Clinical Associate in Psychology course at Keele University and regularly offer trainee placements and teaching
There are frequent opportunities for development. The Trust has robust in-house training in a range of areas including stages the full range of accredited EMDR training and the Leadership Super Series. Training and interests are further supported through a range of supervision and interest groups including in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Therapy (ISTDP), EMDR and Compassion-Focussed Therapy. We are actively supported in our development through a robust and collaborative appraisal process.
Applicants should have previous experience of working in mental health teams in the NHS and knowledge and skills in working with people who present with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
