What You Will Do:
- Adhere to all safety protocols for ChampionX
- Develop new molecules for corrosion inhibition
- Test molecules for corrosion inhibition
- Learn corrosion inhibitor testing
- Linear polarization resistance bubble cells
- Rotating cylinder electrodes
- Rotating coupon autoclaves
- High pressure rotating cylinder electrodes for preferential weld testing
- Manage project request for qualifying corrosion inhibitors
- Write and present on findings either through presentations or technical reports
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to advance developments
Minimum Qualifications:
- Synthetic chemistry experience -OR-
- MS in chemistry with +2 years in synthetic chemistry
Physical Demands:
Long periods of standing
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in organic chemistry
- Experience developing a catalogue of new molecules
- Experience designing molecules to meet a specific need
- Testing experience with any of the above mentioned corrosion tests
