Job description

• To provide and supervise the delivery of high standards of care to the residents in our care.
• To be a competent, capable and considerate role model to the team
• Participate in the review, recording and updating of Care Plans using the Care Docs system
• Support Service Users with washing, using the toilet, dressing, undressing, and all other aspects of daily living
• Take part in social activities and to support and encourage residents to continue with hobbies and activities in and outside the Home
• Assist with serving food and drinks to Residents and supporting those who need assistance during meal times
• Ensure individual aids and equipment used by residents are maintained e.g. wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles and dentures, etc
• Communicate effectively with the residents, their relatives, friends, other staff and external visitors to the Home and deal sensitively with their concerns
• Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of life
• Greet all visitors, and answer the telephone, in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner and promote Langland care Homes and your own Home in particular, positively at all times in the local community
• Ensure professional knowledge and job skills are up to date to ensure that our residents receive the best possible standards of care and service
• Assist with the induction of new staff, training and development of existing care staff
• Efficiently co-ordinate the duties of all junior staff, whilst ensuring that they are properly supported and supervised
• Attend, and participate in, training sessions and staff meetings
• Any other reasonable instruction from a Registered Nurse, which is within your area of competence.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £672.20 per week
