Ideally you will already have a minimum of one years’ experience in a similar role. A QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential as we offer comprehensive training.
Bramley Care is a family-run business that specialises in providing bespoke, professional care for older people and people in the community. Whether in the comfort of their own home through Bramley Home Care or in one of our specialist luxury residential care homes at The Old Rectory in Dorset, Bramley House in Wiltshire or Millbrook House in Child Okeford.
At Bramley Care, our values are at the heart of everything we do. These values underpin our philosophy of care and respect for our residents in our three care homes and our home care clients. But equally important, also the way in which we look after our valued employees.
Will Bramley Care support me in my career development?
At Bramley Care, as well as providing the very best standards of care and service to our residents and clients, staff development is extremely important to us. We offer a comprehensive training package to QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care and encourage all our staff to study beyond this if they are keen to progress to management roles.
At Bramley Care we have a strong culture of staff training and improvement. Many of our staff have gained their career foundations with us and moved on to exciting jobs in the health sector, but we are also very keen to promote internally and encourage our Care Assistants to take on additional responsibilities, giving them opportunities for promotion to Senior Carer roles. Several of our Senior Managers have worked their way up from Care Assistant roles and as a result our staff retention is very high. Our commitment to staff development is vitally important to our ethos and is reflected in our CQC report and the feedback from our Investors in People accreditation.
You would take responsibility for the care of our residents or home care clients during your shift, this would involve handling medication, personal care duties such as bathing, dressing and assisting toileting/incontinence care. You would take an interest in the residents and clients, helping them to live as full and enjoyable a life as their health permits. You would also be required to carry out certain administrative duties, such as updating care records. You would support residents and clients at mealtimes, helping to serve meals. You might be asked to join in with our entertainment staff to help with planned activities, such as arts and crafts, or maybe even accompany residents and clients on day trips.
