Job Description
The Business Architecture Team in the Chief Technology Office are going through a period of growth and we have a number of Senior Business Architect roles we are currently recruiting for.
Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) and our Chief Technology Office:
LBG is the UK’s leading digital bank, with over 30 million customers across our three main brands, as well as the UK’s biggest mobile bank.
Our culture in the Chief Technology Office brings together smart, talented and driven people from diverse backgrounds with the mission to deliver for our customers. Our people make that possible.
Business Architecture – leading change across an exciting portfolio of work:
The Business Architecture team is a small team with a big remit: to shape and coordinate change across more than two billion pounds worth of investment. Encompassing the totality of Lloyds Banking Group, spanning from retail customers through to large corporates, the team covers the breadth of financial services. Our roles suit colleagues that want a varied and rewarding career with intellectual challenge and stimulation.
We partner with platform teams that own change for a particular area of the group (such as payments, consumer onboarding, or data) and make business and technical design decisions in partnership with our platform stakeholders that balance the long-term value for the bank with the best outcomes for customers.
The role might suit someone from a consulting background looking to move across to a permanent role in industry, someone already working in the financial services sector, or a technology strategist with a good understanding of financial services.
The main thing we are looking for is the ability to quickly get up to speed on new topics, drive pieces of work in collaboration with stakeholders and embed strategy into change delivery. Given the varied nature of the work we are open to a variety of backgrounds and would encourage you to apply if you think it sounds like a good fit. Some of the skills we will be looking for include:
- Experience working in an architectural, consulting, or similar function at a senior level is essential
- Persuasive communication skills with the ability to influence, nudge and cajole for the right strategic outcome across a range of seniority levels both verbally and in written communications
- Change delivery experience across project or programme work
- Effective knowledge of financial services products and services
- The drive and experience to lead pieces of work from outset to conclusion
- A good general knowledge of technology
- Experience of working closely with solution/technical architects to deliver business architecture
- Promoting a culture of personal growth, respect and recognition
- Building frameworks that support robust and repeatable decision making
What will Lloyds Banking Group give me in return?
As a multi-brand, multi-channel business, we have the scale and breadth to provide you with a diverse range of training and development opportunities, helping you achieve a rewarding and fulfilling career. Join us and be part of an inclusive, values-based culture focused on making a difference.
Whatever your dream, you can also expect an industry leading range of benefits including:
