The Calisen Group is in an exciting and strong position where we are seeing growth and development in all areas of the business. As a result of this growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Business Analyst who will contribute to the company’s business objectives by bridging the gap between the business and IT, understanding business needs as they relate to a potential change or transformation, proactively championing an analytical methodology across the business, facilitating change by supporting the delivery of key projects and programmes, and helping to ensure that the company’s commercial, financial and operational commitments are met.
The Senior Business Analyst will also lead, mentor, and manage less senior team members, taking an active part in their development.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday on a hybrid basis working from home, with travel to our Manchester and/or Wigan offices at least 2 days per week. The salary is to be discussed with the successful candidate between £45,000 - £55,000 per annum dependent on experience & qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead business process analysis, customer journey modelling and improvement activities.
- Lead engagement with key business stakeholders to understand business strategy and objectives to support business cases.
- Lead engagement with operational stakeholders to translate business problems into defined requirements.
- Collaborate with business operations teams and technical staff to build strong relationships to drive efficiencies, reduce business risk and improve outcomes for our customers.
- Lead on projects, including development and control of project documentation and operational delivery documentation.
- Lead in workshops to illicit requirements and drive delivery of solutions.
- Define report requirements to enhance management information.
- Drive user acceptance testing activities to ensure smooth implementation of change
- Develop and deliver user training, including documentation.
- Manage transition from projects to BAU and remain updated on current service issues and problem management.
- Develop understanding of the current and future technology landscape.
- Ensure company quality standards are adhered to.
- Understand and ensure data protection and standards are adhered to.
- Review external documentation (External clients or Industry) and provide information and solutions that fully meet the expectations of our business and our customers.
- Monitor and present, to key business users, on Industry change / Compliance / Audits / Industry Reporting as required.
What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst who has a minimum of 5 years’ experience of leading and mentoring a team, while leading analysis on large/complex projects & programmes. The successful candidate will also have:
- A good standard of education (A-level or equivalent). A university Degree or business analysis professional qualification would be desirable.
- Stakeholder analysis & management experience.
- Experience in Business Process Modelling and investigation & analysis techniques for requirements gathering.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with proven track record of employing business analysis techniques to enable business change.
- Ability to deliver business solutions for programmes/projects, balancing time, cost, and quality.
- Excellent written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders up to Director level.
- Adept in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio
