The Baseband team is involved in the whole product lifecycle from initial specification of critical subsystems, through detailed design and testing of the finished product

Your Role
The role requires a self-motivated individual who likes contributing to a team. We require someone who can adapt to changing requirements and effectively communicate their progress with both design and verification of the platform
As a Senior Engineer, we require you to take responsibility for delivering small product features or significant parts of larger features.
We need a Senior Engineer who can make a significant contribution to the design and development of TETRA/Broadband radio equipment, accessories, tools and services provided to customers
Your Day to Day
Our customer base includes many different industries and markets around the world. Our complete TETRA and LTE solutions have been developed specifically for users in multiple sectors to face their critical communications challenges.
There is no such thing as a typical day here at Sepura. You will be supported by your manager and team, as well as collaborating with other departments across the business. Baseband Hardware activities you will be responsible for include:
- Design of microprocessor systems. This includes integrating sensors like accelerometers, magnetometers, proximity detectors, gyroscopes and barometers.
- Design of power supplies to meet low power and high efficiency standards
- Design and validation of audio amplifier designs of up to 10W
- Design verification of the integrated system, which will include EMC testing
- Creation of functional and detailed design documents for the components / modules / products under development
What you need to succeed
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
Experience and Skills
- Good written communication skills for technical documentation
- Microprocessor design including requirements for power supplies and power saving
- Serial interfaces: I2S, I2C, UART, USB (all speeds, USB3 would be particularly useful)
Nice to have
- Experience of product development
- Past success in designing for EMC/ ESD
- Audio experience with using low power audio amplifiers up to 10W
