THE ROLE
We are recruiting for a Senior Architectural Technician to be based within our RIBA Chartered team at our Head Office, situated on the outskirts of Lincoln.
Senior Architectural Technicians are an integral part of our team, responsible for supporting the delivery of a range of complex designs on our expanding portfolio of projects.
Within this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating across our multi-disciplined teams to support the production of technology-led designs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Within this role your responsibilities will include supporting the management team with a range of tasks, such as:
- Attending regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists
- Be part of the integral team of designers and technicians to prepare work packages for project delivery
- Co-ordinating the work of contractors
- Making site visits to check on progress and ensuring that the project is running within the agreed time frame and according to specification
- Negotiating with contractors and other professionals
- Preparation of planning applications
- Producing detailed drawings for building regulations applications and tender packages
- Solving problems that might occur during building
- Supporting and coordinating the work of junior members of the Practice
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to problem-solve, but also raise critical issues in a timely-manner to your line manager
- Ability to work with financial budgets
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the latest building regulations and British Standards
- Good eye for detail and design
- Good time-management skills
- Previous experience as an Architectural Technician or the willingness to develop into the role
- Relevant IT skills; including Microsoft Office and Revit
- Sound communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- The ability to liaise effectively and confidently
- The ability to work from your own initiative and as part of a team
