Role Profile
Department Description
The Market Operations Services team in London provides the centralised function for the maintenance of key trading services and reference data databases. The team spans both the LSE (Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives) and Turquoise venues (part of the London Stock Exchange Group) acting as a first point of contact for customers (both issuers and member firms). The team co-ordinates the production and dissemination of communications to customers and key organisations including EUI, CCPs, UKLA and FTSE Russell. Market Operations comprises of five functions – Admissions, Market Management, Equities Operations, Operational Support and UAT – and manages close operational relationships, internally and externally.

Team Description
The Market Management team is responsible for the enrichment and migration of data to the trading platform in order to facilitate trading across both the LSE and Turquoise venues, maintenance of instrument data, maintenance of test and production environments, and product configuration. This includes the management of daily updates to internal and customer facing systems as well as ad-hoc requested and planned changes.
The team works on a shift basis with the current service hours between 07:00 and 19.00.
NB: The service hours are under review and subject to change.

Role Description
The Market Management Senior Analyst reports to an Assistant manager in Market management and is responsible for the enrichment and migration of data to the trading platform in order to facilitate trading on both LSE and Turquoise equities venues. The Senior Analyst will also assist in developing system enhancements in both departmental and business wide projects, and support the Assistant Manager in keeping abreast of all LSE & Turquoise developments and their impact on Market Management processes. The Senior Analyst would also be expected to deputise for the Manager and Assistant Manager and represent the team when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

Supports the Assistant Manager with the running of core business processes on a day-to-day basis by proactively identifying issues, executing resolutions, and implementing process improvements
Resolves escalated client queries, escalating high-impact risks and building internal relationships and networks with key teams
Execute team responsibilities efficiently and to schedule, including delivering against KPIs
Work as, and with, project leads for department and company projects to cover department impacts and the efficient completion to schedule
Manage and maintain all static and dynamic instrument and reference data for the Exchange to operate correctly
Collaborate effectively across products, teams and business areas to deliver listed derivative services and development
Partner with IT and Sales/Trading on product launches, systems enhancements and development. The team is a key part of the change programme.
Assist with the resolution of exceptional technical & production issues/incidents.
Investigate process failures and implement corrective actions.
Participation in internal projects focused on process improvement and/or Industry/Regulatory change and product launches
Understands the internal and external causes and impacts of operational risks, monitoring key risk indicators to proactively identify issues in advance of regulators
Builds specialist knowledge to analyse complex data and determine and execute resolutions to operational risks in an accurate and timely manner, escalating complex operational risks where expertise is required
Supports and drives the operational aspects of Change projects as necessary
Identify process improvement opportunities
Represent the team both internally & externally where appropriate
Maintaining working relationships with key internal contacts and external organisations
Manage and minimise operational risks at all times
First level responsibility for training and development of specific team members
UAT testing
Some weekend and bank holiday coverage required especially for system upgrades and product launches.

Team Responsibilities:

Maintaining instrument reference data and product configuration across LSE and Turquoise production platforms including end of day reference data uploads
Performing large scheduled changes on BAU and project basis, including the impacts to cash and derivatives markets for quarterly reweights and the associated product and reference data changes, creation of series data for derivatives
Liaising with Admissions , Equity Operations, Capital Markets Business teams and Market Supervision concerning any unplanned reference data changes
Maintaining working relationships with key internal contacts and external organisations e.g. CCPs, Technology Relationship Management Technology Product management and development teams
Sign off business requirements, technical changes need to ensure the run and change of all LSE plc and Turquoise markets accurately reflect the operational responsibilities
Impact analysis and support for internal Market Operations Services or LSEG-wide projects, particularly where reference data impacted or data migration required
Providing support for system releases and weekend testing

Candidate Profile / Key Skills
Relevant industry experience, including listed derivatives and/or clearing industry experience (minimum 2yrs), and recent experience in a similar role
Graduate, or of graduate calibre, with a relevant financial, analytical or business degree
Must be a confident team player with good interpersonal skills and a ‘can do’ attitude
Knowledge of equities, equity swaps, and derivatives
Worked in professional and client-focused environments where detailed processes must be followed
Confidence in managing and manipulating large volumes of data
Must be able to work to deadlines and under pressure
Proven ability to work with and instigate process change
Proficient in MS Office products
Internal systems – ability to learn quickly
Proven customer service skills
