Our established client is currently looking to recruit an Accountant on a permanent basis, working from their Alfreton site.

The successful candidate will be AAT qualified, have previous Book Keeping and Accounting experience and ideally have led a small team of administrators. Within the role you will have the following duties across two divisions within the organisation -

The successful candidate will be AAT qualified, have previous Book Keeping and Accounting experience and ideally have led a small team of administrators. Within the role you will have the following duties across two divisions within the organisation -
- Preparation & Analysis of monthly Management Accounts to strict deadlines
- Preparation of Monthly Forecasts & Snapshots
- Management, training & development of accounts team including purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control functions
- Liaise with managers and department heads to report & interpret financial information and suggest courses of action
- Preparation of monthly forecasts & snapshots
- KPI & variance analysis
- Monthly submission of labour hours to payroll
- Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Revaluation of balance sheet accounts
- Asset register maintenance
- Depreciation & amortisation
- Expenses/P11D returns
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Accruals & Prepayments
- Cash flow forecasting
- VAT returns
- Preparation of audit schedules
- Maintain accurate inventory records and valuations
