About the role
We know flexible working is important to you, and it is important to us too. The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Commercial team aim for at least 1 day a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings but again, are flexible on this. The role is based at Bracknell with the requirement to work in Victoria as needed.
The salary range for the role is £36,400 - £54,600
Contract type - Permanent
Interviews will take place on 24th & 26th May, in person, in Bracknell.
What’s the role about?
As a Senior Account Manager you will lead the building of category plans, in collaboration with the Category Pod, which are aligned to the overall Waitrose General Merchandise (GM) strategy, through the interrogation of category data and customer insight.
You will develop a mutually beneficial trading relationship with John Lewis, creating detailed category briefs to clearly outline the Waitrose GM customer and category strategy and influence the Pan Partnership assortment selections to meet the needs of the Waitrose customer. You will lead the curation of the category master assortments, ensuring products are aligned to the Category plan including brand positioning and price architecture.
You will make in season trading decisions to achieve the commercial KPIs for the category, working with the Category Pod to ensure all opportunities are maximised, from launch to exit of product ranges.
Essential skills you’ll need
Commercial experience at trading/buying equivalent delivering strong results
Communicating and building relationships at all levels of the business, both internally and externally
Passion for mentoring and supporting team members
