Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Permanent Contract Salary: £21,507 - £24,693 (pro rata)
Long-Term Contract Salary: £80 - £100 per day
Area: Mill Hill & High Barnet
Contract: Perm - 33.5 hours per week - 40 weeks per year
Start Date: ASAP

We are now currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to join a Special Needs Schools which has two different sites (Mill Hill & High Barnet)
- The site you will be working at will be discussed beforehand.
The SEN School has the Ofsted rating of *OUTSTANDING* and specialises in Learning Difficulties and Autism.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role is a Full-Time position either on a Long Term or Permanent contract and you will be supporting children with Learning Difficulties and Autism.
There is a car park on site or there is available parking nearby but certainly a local bus route or train station nearby.
All schools will have a long-lasting relationship with RT Education, therefore you may be offered a contract with the school or a permanent position once you have proven yourself.

Job Description
- Supporting the children with Learning Difficulties and Autism to a high level of care.
- To work under the instructions of the teacher.
- Supporting the children’s needs and demands as well as emotional well-being.
- Helping to develop students skills both personally and academically.
- Supporting in structured activities to support the students development in all areas of the curriculum.
- Providing a safe learning environment for all students to learn in.
- To be consistent in managing behaviour.
- Using visual materials to support the children.
Person Specification
- Have experience as a SEN Teacher Assistant in a Special Needs School.
- Need to have a high level of understanding of Autistic Spectrum Needs and SEN.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Have a sensitivity and caring approach towards the children and act accordingly towards each child’s needs.
- Needs to be flexible.
- Ability to work alongside teachers and parents.
