Gain Education are currently working with a fantastic primary school in Thurrock who are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about working with young people with additional needs.
This Primary School is offering a full time, long term contract until July 2023 and an immediate start after the February Half Term break.
This lively and supportive primary school in South Ockendon, Essex is looking to expand its support network for SEN students within early years (Nursery). We would love to offer this exciting opportunity to a driven SEN Teaching Assistant, who will join a friendly and supportive team on a long-term contract basis.
The position will involve 1:1 and small group work, with a focus on the children's academic and social progression with the support of the early years class teacher.
This role would suit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who has worked with children with Autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD or Global Delay.
If you would like to be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant role you will have:
- Previous SEN experience in a classroom environment
- Ideally a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Committed and dedicated approach to your work
- A calm and nurturing disposition
- Proven experience in managing challenging behaviour / complex needs
