SEN KEYWORKER/TEACHING ASSISTANT
LOSTWITHIEL SCHOOL (REF: LOS004)
20 hours a week term time only +2 INSET days- actual gross salary £9,238
Fixed term from 1st September 2023 for 12 months
Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT) is seeking to appoint a 1:1 Key Worker to support SEND children at Lostwithiel school. This role will be primarily based in Upper Key Stage 2.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working with children with additional needs.
- Can effectively work alongside identified pupils within the classroom, building a supportive, positive relationship.
- Has knowledge of ADHD, autism and attachment needs.
- Is able to work under the guidance of the class teacher to provide pupils with both generic and specific support.
- Can be responsible and work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Has a positive outlook.
- Is a champion for children with additional needs.
- Has an understanding of the Trauma Informed approach or Thrive (desirable but not essential).
