Job description

Introduction

As a Receptionist, you know first impressions matter. You'll be a friendly face with a welcoming personality as you greet staff, visitors and service users to All Saints Hospital, a deaf mental health service in Oldham.

Working 37.5 hours a week, you will join the reception team, where you will be responsible for the telephone switchboards, as you support and direct callers to the correct department.

As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for managing and allocating keys and alarms to staff and visitors and will maintain an updated daily log of everyone present at All Saints Hospital. This will see you provide training to new staff on the initial induction on how to operate the telephone, Blick security and radio systems.

You will be responsible for receiving and transferring telephone calls to the correct person and/or department, accepting deliveries and taking bookings for the hospital vehicles.

Other responsibilities:

  • Ensure all staff details are up to date and accurate on the Doors and Key Management systems
  • Complete twice daily Daily Checklist for Reception, ensuring keys are accounted for
  • Operate and monitor the radios, ensuring compliance with the licensing laws

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • GCSE English, Mathematics or equivalent, including formal qualification in literacy
  • Experience within a customer care setting
  • Experience in using a telephone switchboard

What you will get:

  • Annual salary of £21,547 plus benefits
  • The equivalent of 33 days annual leave – plus your birthday off!
  • Free meals and parking
  • Wellbeing support and activities
  • Career development and training
  • Pension contribution
  • Life Assurance
  • Enhanced Maternity Package

There is also a range of other benefits including retail discounts and special offers and much more.
