The Role
The successful candidate will be required with assistance to provide general office administration/accounts, sales and marketing support. The role is extremely varied and will expose the candidate to many aspects of an IT business and associated departments.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be required to carry out accounting activities (sales and purchase ledger, payment journals, bank reconciliation, issue of customer statements, respond to queries, expenses etc.); book meetings/training and accommodation/flights; maintain customer and prospect data; order customer licenses; issue customer renewal quotes; update company procedures, order office equipment and provisions.
Assist with marketing and sales activities such as event planning; proof reading; compiling sales quotes; support lead generation activities; maintaining the document library; updating supplier pricelists and data sheets; prepare/book demonstrations; create/maintain document/email templates; support marketing campaigns; investigate mailshot ‘bounces’; maintain email signatures; blog and social media posting and website updates.
Finally, providing support to colleagues and any general office/sales administration, as required. Interaction will be required with customers, suppliers and other team members.
On-the job training will be provided along with the agreed Level 3 apprenticeship training. Initially, assistance with all activities will be provided and thereafter, the candidate will be required to work more independently.

Entry Requirements
The successful candidate MUST hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs at a grade C/5 or above, including Maths & English, and be educated to A Level or Level 3 standard.
Skills & Personal Qualities
The ideal candidate will be bright, enthusiastic, reliable, conscientious, motivated, and hard-working. In addition, the candidate will have a positive attitude, along with good written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications and/or knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Office and Excel are desirable.
College Attendance
College attendance is required all day, every other Wednesday at City of Portsmouth College's Highbury Campus.
Future Prospects

Things To Consider
The role will require the successful candidate to spend the majority of their day sat at a desk with a computer and monitor.
