Simply Driven Logistics is a vehicle delivery company based in Leicester, East Midlands.
We are seeking self-employed trade plate drivers to move vehicles all over the country. Our drivers work from home and are situated throughout the UK.
Customer service is key! Think this is a driving job? Think again! It's all about great customer service, so you must have have brilliant people and communication skills. It will help a lot if you also like cars and driving.
Our drivers are responsible for all aspects of vehicle movement : Job planning, vehicle appraisal, data gathering, timely completion of allocated work, excellent customer liaison, and administration.
Attention to detail is crucial! Thoroughness and accuracy is absolutely essential, even when under pressure or in adverse conditions.
Your communication skills will be excellent as you keep everyone informed and up to date. A good standard of spoken and written English is required.
You must be a calm and resourceful problem solver as it can be very challenging at times. You will need to anticipate and deal with problems decisively, assisted at all times by our office team.
Hours will often be long with lots of early starts and unpredictable finishing times, sometimes very late. You must be willing to see the job through even when everything goes wrong, it's late, and you are cold, tired, and a long way from home.
We will provide successful applicants with trade plates, tablet computer, uniform, and everything else you need as a trade plate driver. In return we expect you to be professional and presentable at all times, and to wear our uniform with pride.
All candidates will attend an induction day regardless of previous experience. These usually take place at our offices in Oadby near Leicester.

Applicants who have held their full license for less than three years may be declined, or be subject to an increased insurance excess.
- Do you have a recent Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure, or are you willing to obtain one?
All applicants must provide a recent DBS disclosure. Adverse disclosures need not prevent you working with us, but you must produce one.
- Do you have a reserved off-road parking space at your home address, which is at least big enough for a full-size SUV?
Access to a reserved parking place is essential because all vehicles stored overnight must be kept off the public highway. It should be at your home address but at our discretion we may consider alternative locations.
- Do you have any points on your driving license?
All applicants must provide or consent to DVLA license checks. Applicants with over six points, or offence codes such as IN, DR, DD, and TT may be declined, or be subject to an increased insurance excess.
- Do you have any previous trade plating experience? Who for and for how long? Or any other logistics experience?
