The Role – Security Officer SIA NIGHTS

AM Services Group is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated security Guard to join our security team at a leading design and engineering site in Lockwood Huddersfield

This is a Full-time permanent role of 56 hours per week the suitable person would be available to work 4 on 2 off 12 hour shifts

Duties/Key Responsibilities

• You must be flexible and able to work in a multi-service team
• Work closely with the Contract Manager to ensure that AM Support Services offers exceptional customer service at the highest standards
• Complete daily security tasks, including the use of client software and security CCTV systems in the control room
• To carry out Daily / Weekly health & safety checks
• Carry out routine patrols on site
• Locking and unlocking of the site
• Assist in deterring crime within the site
• Take accurate notes to complete reports, logbook entries and all relevant paperwork to a high standard - including reporting in detail any incidents occurring whilst on duty
• Liaison with local authorities including police, emergency healthcare services or even fire extinguishers in case of an emergency
• To carry out weekly Fire alarm testing
• Operating telephone switchboard
• Carry out any reasonable task requested by the client or Manager, if you are trained to do so.

Skills Required

• Valid SIA Front Line SG/DS Licence
• CCTV experience is ideal but not essential
• 1ST Aid at Work Cert preferred but not essential
• You will need to evidence your honesty and reliability and always maintain a sense of pride in your professionalism in delivering excellent customer service.
• Full 5-year UK checkable work history
• Resided in the UK for the last 5 years

The appointment of this role will be subject to completion of a satisfactory Basic Disclosure Barring Service Check.
