Job description
We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated Security Officer to work at one of our prestigious sites. It is an exciting time to join our award winning Company as we continue to grow and secure a number of high profile corporate security contracts within the central London region.

- Hours: Week 1- Sat-Sun DAY, then MON-TUE NIGHT. Week 2 SAT-SUN DAY, MON-Wed NIGHT Rest Avg: 54 hrs

Role:
Reporting to the security manager, working within this flagship building and prestigious environment in Canary Wharf, you will support the delivery of a truly exceptional customer journey for both staff and visitors. To achieve this, you will be/become well versed in the processes and practices of a Concierge and Security professional. Excellence in customer service will be at the heart of the role. You will be part of a well drilled security operation.
To ensure synergy across our service providers, we work with a 'one team' approach to successfully deliver an excellent customer journey so in this role you will work closely with catering, cleaning, maintenance, and Front of House teams in order to provide an environment which is welcoming and relaxed yet safe and secure at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstading customer service to staff and visitors
- Take a active interest in, and give commitment to the client
- Promote the cliet, tenants other service providers positively to all you come in to contact with, throughout the customer journey
- Be flexible ad adaptable to all tasks or challenges
- Be highly presetable, accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified or allocated
- Appropriate use of CCTV/access cotrol and any other electronic management system, and completion of reports and documentation in a timely fashion
- Be familiar with all Security ad Emergency procedures on site and assist in the facilitation of their safe execution and practice. There may also be a need to become a fire marshal and first aider if applicable all training will be provided
- the SIA or other relevant regulations
- To complete ay other reasonable task as instructed by your line manager or other Senior Manager, either UniTrust or at the request of the Client and/or tenants
- To act with itegrity and in the best interests of the company in a safe, compliant, and ethical manner
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome ad assist staff, clients, tenants, and visitors to the premises in a warm and courteous fashion maintaining excellence as a standard throughout the customer journey
- Work with all colleagues to esure the integrity of security on the site
- Early idetification and mitigation of any threats to persons, premises, or property, escalating where appropriate to do so
- Have a outstanding knowledge of the premises (inside and external) and able to assist staff, clients, tenants, and visitors with their queries
- Develop ad maintain positive relationships with all staff, visitors, tenants, service providers and clients
SECURITY SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Esure the security of people, premises, and property, protecting the reputation of the client/tenants throughout
- Respod to alarms
- Check idetity and credentials of staff, contractors and visitors where required
- Record details of ay suspected criminal activity on the premises (internal and external); commencing investigative procedures prior to onward reporting where necessary.
- Carry out proactive patrols, iternal & external, as directed by assignment instructions
Essential Skills:
- Excellet oral, written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and confidence

- Reliable, trustworthy, ad punctual
- Self-cofidence and an interest in self-development.&bsp;
- Physically able to coduct all responsibilities associated with the roles documented
- Ability to work to istruction and on your own initiative where required
- Computer literate ad confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes
- Flexibility regardig working practices, hours and responsibilities.
- Either a curret or valid SIA license
- Operation of CCTV/access control communications in an appropriate manner where required
