Security Support Officer
Location: Canary Wharf, London
Rate: £13.79 per hour
Shift pattern: days, nights and weekends (0700-1900/1900-0700)
Applicants must hold a SIA Door Supervisor license and have excellent communication skills. The role will see you working a set shift pattern covering days, nights & weekends.
This role will see you working across the Canary Wharf estate which is home to shopping malls, corporate buildings and external infrastructure.
Essential criteria:
- SIA Door Supervisor License holder
- Happy working in a shopping mall environment, external infrastructure (manning barriers) and corporate
- Happy working a mixture of days, nights & weekends.
Duties to include:
Shopping Malls:
- To ensure the safety and security of the retail mall
- To deter and detect terrorism.
- Regular patrols
- Deter and detect crime.
- To discourage antisocial behaviour.
- Provide an effective physical and visual security presence
- Respond to fire alarm activations, incidents and emergencies.
- To provide first aid support, or assist first aiders when appropriate.
- Complete incident forms, notebook entries or Accident Report Forms as required.
Infrastructure:
- Manning the vehicle check points and Barriers
- Regular security patrols of Canary Wharf Estate
- Traffic Management
Corporate:
- Customer service
- Detect, deter, and prevent crime with an emphasis on counter terrorism
- Identify potential hostile terrorist reconnaissance and suspicious or unusual activities
- Access control
- Provide First Aid support when required to do so
- Ensure Fire Safety protocols are adhered to and enforced
