As a Security Officer for G4S, variety is guaranteed. Your day-to-day duties will adapt to meet the demand of the business and will ensure no two days are exactly the same. You will join our team as a security officer covering a distillery site within Dumbarton, with the potential for additional shifts within the wider area.
We are looking for an experienced Security Officer to join us on a permanent basis. This role will be on a full-time basis and will cover days, nights and weekends on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off).

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Whilst we do welcome applications from experienced officers, prior experience is not a must - we will provide full SIA training and site inductions. If you have a keen interest in keeping people safe and secure, come and join our team. We know you'll get off to a flying start!
A typical week will have you based at a range of sites, ensuring visitors, staff and the premises remain safe and secure. Other elements of the role will include:
- Building relationships with employers and community organisations
- Working as part of a team and on your own depending on site requirements
- Greeting visitors to site, issuing passes, reporting incidents and liaising with customers and staff
- Responding to security breaches
- Access control
You'll be responsible for a wide variety of duties including the management of visitor passes, liaising with customers, gatehouse duties, checking in contractors, reception duties, alarm calls and issuing passes visitor vehicle checks.

Our contractual requirements mean that you will work on a full-time, permanent basis working a combination of days and nights. Whilst it is not essential to have a full UK driving licence and have access to your own personal vehicle, it is preferred.
