Working within Platform Operations and Reliability Team as a platform Operation Analyst, you will be playing a key role towards the identification and adoption of new technologies and approaches, working towards improving the wider technical estate, associated processes and overall development experience. As AdTech continually evolves to adopt a DevOps culture you will be expected to leverage your experience in this area to help transition a traditional business application support team to a more agile service management ethos.
What you'll do:

Maintain uninterrupted operations from the beginning to the end of a software’s life cycle and work with relevant teams to deliver stable, resilient system with cutting edge alerting and monitoring, and forward-thinking capacity planning built into the design.

Ensure that application support standards and processes are implemented and contribute actively to their continuous improvement, including proactive solutions for system monitoring, process change, testing, and analysis.

With a clear understanding of roadmaps and longer-term strategic business goals – provide technical direction and leadership towards the delivery of excellent quality and sustainable software – minimizing technical debt.

Facilitate the safe implementation of changes across our platforms, ensuring run books for Operations team are in place and the Service operations team are fully trained in any support scenarios for new or changed products under your tribe or squads.

Work with development and engineering teams to assess and identify optimal Cloud strategy, architecture, and infrastructure solutions. Also, providing cloud support and interacting with developers, clients to improve existing cloud solutions at scale at optimal cost.

Work on incident resolution and engage various team including 3rd parties for support escalation. Facilitate the investigation and ensure incidents are reviewed and document the findings to enable informed decision-making and boost service reliability. you will be expected to lead the conversation to ensure solutions or acceptable workarounds are found to enable closure of the issue.
What you'll bring:

Great communications skills with the ability to actively engage and build strong relationships with Sky Media, AdTech Engineers, Scrums, Project Managers, Vendors and Media partners - supporting with the planning and estimation phases of roadmap items; providing technical guidance where required.

Be a forward-thinker through evaluating new technologies, contribution to tribes, squads and chapter meetings along with advocating the creation of technical documentation to encourage and promote knowledge sharing.

Proven experience in troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong Analysis background with ability to Analyse data in support of proposed projects, business cases, and system requirements.

Expertise in Amazon AWS Cloud Administration which includes services like: EC2, Lambda, S3, AWS Elemental technologies, VPC, ELB, RDS (Dynamo DB/MY SQL) , IAM, Route 53, Auto scaling, Cloud Front, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, Cloud Formation and Security Groups

Expertise in Google Cloud technologies like cloud functions, app engine, compute engine, cloud storage, fire store, BIG query, Machine learning and GKE

Familiarity with cloud technologies like Kubernetes, docker, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, AWS, Azure DevOps, Composer, DAG airflow; Hand on experience on developing and executing Perl, SHELL, BASH, Python and Golang , SQL and UNIX scripts..
