Job description
Corporate Facilities Services are a national provider of Cleaning, Security and Support Services specalising in shopping centre facilities management and customer service.
We currently have a vacancy for permanent Full Time Security Guard at The Marlands Shopping Centre, Southampton. The position is working an average 42hrs per week on a 4 on 4 off rota.
Duties will include but not limited to: locking/unlocking of the centre, completing site patrols, manning the control room/CCTV monitoring, assisting the sites customers and tenants, supporting the centre management team.
Full training and uniform provided.
Overtime available.
Candidates must have an SIA Door Supervisors license as a minimum and a SIA CCTV license would also be an advantage (if you do not have the CCTV license it will be a requirement for you to obtain this within 12 weeks of commencing work , support to obtain a license optional and full training given.
Duties:
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises
- Operate and monitor CCTV systems to detect and prevent unauthorized activities
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify potential security risks
- Enforce access control policies and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries or concerns
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a security guard or relevant position preferred
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
- Physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods of time
