About the client

Our client is a charitable organisation dedicated to providing temporary emergency refuge accommodation for women and children seeking to escape domestic abuse and/or homelessness.

Currently, we are exploring night security and CCTV monitoring options for our refuge locations. Our preference is to have women security personnel due to the vulnerable client group we support. This choice ensures the safety and comfort of our residents while also enabling a swift response to any call-outs at our refuge locations.

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern, between the hours of 21:00 – 09:00.

Location: Wolverhampton, across 3 locations.

Main duties

  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry to authorised personnel only.
  • Ensuring that all permitted visitors receive a 'high end' customer experience from entry to exit.
  • Prevent loss and damage.
  • Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate accordingly
  • Take accurate notes to complete reports, logbook entries and all relevant paperwork to a high standard - including reporting in detail any incidents occurring whilst on duty
  • Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
  • Ensure risk assessment and assignment instructions are always followed to meet requirements
  • To assist in training new security officers in all aspects of their job
  • To take effective action in an emergency and co-operate fully with the relevant services
  • Enforce all relevant health and safety requirements at all times
  • Carry out any other duties of a reasonable request by the client
  • Lock and unlock buildings

Requirements:

Essential

  • A valid front line SIA licence.
  • A valid full UK driving license.

Desirable

  • Previous experience within the security industry.
