Job Title: Security Manager Location: London Contracted Hours: 42.5 hours per week Monday to Friday – 08:30 – 17:00 Pay Rate: £19:40 per hour What’s in it for you? To liaise with the client to ensure KPI’s and SLA’s are met and where possible exceeded. To ensure all site policies and procedures are maintained and regularly reviewed To lead and motivate the security team ensuring the ethos and core values of the site emanate within their roles and responsibilities To ensure the team is resilient in providing an excellent customer service and security to all visitors, occupiers and staff. To forge strong successful relationships with other services providers within site, creating a seamless partnership in providing premier security and customer service. To ensure diplomacy and tactfulness is applied at all times in delivering exceptional security customer service Ensure that all contract security personnel are aware, have read and understood, the current AI’s, clients’ policies and procedures and relevant post instructions Managing the administration and welfare of the site security team, including induction and continuation training, probation, and setting objectives during annual appraisals Responsible for the rostering of staff and ensuring the contract is manned to contractual specifications, including appropriate holiday cover, and managing staff absences Recruitment and interviewing of new staff, creating for purpose job descriptions. To ensure there is a robust succession plan in place for all key positions within the team. Administrative duties include Timegate scheduling and compiling the monthly management report and any other associated documentation. To ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports are submitted to the client as required and in a timely manner. Deliver outstanding customer service to staff, occupiers and visitors Ensure that the environment and service is truly excellent and beyond expectation Be flexible and adaptable to all tasks or challenges To act with integrity and in the best interests of the company in a safe, compliant, and ethical manner Be prepared to manage a wide variety and diversity of scenarios, people, and challenges Assist in the induction, development, or ongoing training of new team members across the disciplines where appropriate Development: Develop local liaison with the Police and the local community To be forward thinking and be a part of idea generation and innovations To devise and implement new security procedures where appropriate in facilitating the success of the site operation. To develop the team and ensure training requirements are identified and training programmes implemented. Essential Skills: A minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience in the Security industry A minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience in managing a prestigious and highly demanding contract Demonstrable experience in people management for example: ability to interview, appraise and performance manage individuals, motivate a security team Valid SIA DS front-line licence Experience of writing and presenting risk reviews and business cases Demonstrate an awareness of security threats which remain relevant and up to date in the context of the current environment Self-confidence and an interest in self-development. Physically able to conduct all responsibilities associated with the roles documented Ability to work to instruction and on your own initiative where required Computer literate and confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes Flexibility in regard to working practices, hours, and responsibilities. First Aid at work or the ability to train and retain this qualification Desirable Skills: CCTV/PSS licence – Desirable but not essential An industry recognised qualification level 5 or above (Highly desirable) Previous experience in technologies to detect security threats in any given environment Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Security Manager!
