What are we looking for?
Reporting to the Protective Services Supervisor the Control Room Operator assists the Protective Services Department in leading Cleveland Clinic London’s (CCL) Regional Security Operations, London Security Operations Center (LSOC), combined with emergency & disaster management functions to reduce risks to people, property and activities in the organization.
The control room operator will also assist in coordinating CCL’s response to an emergency. In this capacity they will also support the response teams for the various emergency code calls (First response) teams.
The control room operator is responsible for the operational and technical and administrative functions of the Protective Services Department when on duty. They acts as a resource for the team members working on shifts.
What will your duties include?
- Process incoming and outgoing communications in the Security Operations Center
- Monitor PSIM, fire panels, access control, cameras and other equipment to provide vital information to dispatched responders
- Receive and transmit all security and emergency information over multiple systems including two-way radio, Emergency management systems, Wi-Fi devices, Overhead Page
- Collaborate with Caregivers to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and Caregivers
- Lead projects associated with the strategic initiatives
- Develop and prepare presentations to various audiences
- Ensure the LSOC is operated and complies with legal and regulatory requirements such as CQC, joint commission and SIA licensing requirements
Working Hours?
Shift work will be required:
- Operate 24/7/365
- 12 Hour rotating shifts
- Pattern: x2 Days – x2 Nights – x4 Days off
- Overtime available as Protective Services is self-covering
What we need from you?
- Valid SIA Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) license (Required)
- Security NVQ’s (Required)
- Control Room experience (Required)
- Military or Police experience (Desired)
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor (Desired)
- Up to date Security experience within a corporate or healthcare background (Highly Desirable)
