Job description
We are looking for a Security Officer to join our team and help protect our premises, assets and personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for patrolling the facility, monitoring security equipment, responding to alarms and investigating any suspicious activity. The ideal candidate will have excellent observational skills, be able to think quickly and calmly in emergency situations, and have a strong understanding of security protocols.Responsibilities:Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.Job Types: Permanent, Part-time, Full-timePart-time hours: 20 per weekSalary: £11.00-£14.00 per hourBenefits:Company pensionGym membershipSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayNight shiftOvertimeSupplemental pay types:Bonus schemeCommission payPerformance bonusTipsYearly bonusAbility to commute/relocate:Birmingham, West Midlands: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)Licence/Certification:SIA (preferred)Work Location: In person
