Job description
The Administrative Secretary is responsible for performing general office duties under the direction of the Administrator/designee.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Remains physically present at the front desk to direct traffic in lobby area and maintains lobby area in an orderly manner.
- Manages telephone calls, mail, and visitors
- Custodian of petty cash.
- Assists the corporate business office staff and accounting staff as needed.
- Responsible for facility banking and postal activities.
- Responsible for office inventory supplies.
- Maintains office equipment.
- Types and disseminates correspondence as assigned.
- Performs general office duties.
- Complies with all established policies and procedures.
- Promote and demonstrates positive customer service towards VHS, co-workers, residents and visitors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

- High school graduate, GED or equivalent.
- Computer experience required.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts.
- Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret information.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
- While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
