Job description

Our Kitchen Assistants/Porter provide support to our Chef Manager & the wider Kitchen team, to provide an outstanding dining experience for our Residents.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting with food preparation
• Independently prepare hot meals/sandwiches for residents
• Load and unload dishwasher, wash-up equipment unsuitable for dishwasher
• Clean kitchen and equipment
• Collect and distribute crockery from residents’ areas
• Clear tea trolleys where applicable
• Empty kitchen rubbish and keep areas clear of refuse
• Maintain a clean and hygienic environment

• Carry out reasonable requests, as instructed by the Chef

About You:

• Able to reliably commute to Guiseley, LS20 9LT
• A willingness to learn
• A reliable nature
• A flexible approach to your working pattern
• Previous experience working in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
• A committed and organised approach.

Working 24 hours per week, 3 or 4 days over 7, this position will include working every other weekend. Shifts will be 6 or 8 hours in length, between the hours of 07.00am and 6.30pm on a rota basis.
