Job description

We are recruiting for an Onboarding Assistant to join our busy Human Resources Team.

This is a full-time 37 hours per week open-ended position. Consideration will also be given for the right person, for the post to be available via an apprenticeship route. You will be working in a friendly, collaborative team environment. Under the guidance of the Onboarding Team Leader, you will ensure that all relevant pre-employment checks for new recruits have been satisfactorily completed prior to their commencement of employment. You will also assist the Team Leader in the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) renewal process for our existing employees. We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills, including strong written and verbal communication skills, who is able to demonstrate attention to detail, and superb organisational skills. You will need to be computer literate with an ECDL qualification or equivalent to demonstrate competence in the use of MS Office packages.

This is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to take their first steps on a career pathway into HR. The organisation offers excellent further training and development opportunities. We would support the right person through the CIPD qualification route, or the NVQ Programme, Apprenticeship in Business Administration level 2. We are able to offer hybrid flexible working and a wide range of employee benefits.

Where it is appropriate for your role and responsibility, the personal information we have collected from you will be shared with Cifas who will use it to prevent fraud, other unlawful or dishonest conduct, malpractice, and other seriously improper conduct.
