Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring project objectives are met within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, goals, and specifications.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to optimise project efficiency and profitability.
- Lead and supervise construction teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and on-site personnel, ensuring effective coordination and communication.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations, codes, and quality standards to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to ensure accurate implementation.
- Address project challenges, changes, and delays promptly, implementing effective solutions and mitigation strategies.
- Maintain open communication with clients, providing regular project updates, progress reports, and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
- Procure necessary materials, equipment, and resources to support project needs while optimising costs and quality.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety standards.
- Ensure proper documentation of project activities, including daily reports, change orders, and relevant records.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, maintaining positive working relationships and facilitating efficient workflow.
- Contribute to the professional development of team members, providing mentorship and guidance as needed.
- Prepare project documentation for handover, including as-built drawings, warranties, and operation manuals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and project management principles.
- Strong understanding of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety guidelines in the UK.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve project objectives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking to address challenges and changes effectively.
- Relevant bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or related field is preferred.
Note: Experience in construction estimating is preferred but not required.

Salary: £32,500.00-£35,000.00 per year
