Job Title: PackerJob Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Picker and Packer for seasonal temporary work (November -January depending). The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently pick and pack orders for shipment while maintaining accuracy and meeting productivity goals. The ideal candidate should be organized, physically fit, and capable of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Responsibilities:Order Picking:Accurately and efficiently pick items from inventory based on customer orders using handheld scanners or pick lists on computers.Verify the correctness of items picked, including quantity and quality.Packing:Carefully pack picked items into appropriate boxes, ensuring proper packaging to prevent damage during transit.Label packages with shipping labels and ensure they are correctly addressed.Quality Control:Conduct visual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards before packing.Report any damaged or defective items to supervisors.Inventory Management:Assist in maintaining organized and tidy work areas.Shipping and Receiving:Prepare packages for shipment by arranging for courier services onto correct pallets.Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.Comply with company policies and procedures, including those related to security and confidentiality.Qualifications:Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to a specified weight limit) and stand for extended periods.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Basic computer skillsExcellent communication skills.Team player with a positive attitude.Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods.Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.Work Environment:Fast-paced warehouse or distribution centre.If you are reliable, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply for the position of Packer.
