The role
Would you like to join a growing team improving the experience of applicants, students and staff at the University of Bristol? We are looking for an enthusiastic Test Analyst to help us progress quickly, using modern tools and technologies. As part of a Scrum team you will create and execute manual and automated tests for web-based services.
The Student Systems team provides development and support for the University’s central student records system, Tribal SITS/e:Vision. Use of e:Vision is increasing rapidly as part of a major investment in continuous improvement. Your role will be a key part of ensuring success as we roll out more self-service features on the web.

What will you be doing?
As a Scrum team member, you will ensure that your intended testing approach covers users’ needs and create manual and automated tests with modern web testing tools to meet team goals. You will be motivated by delivering maintainable solutions which bring real value to users.
You should apply if
You will bring lots of hands-on exploratory testing experience. You will be comfortable with open source testing tools such as Puppeteer or Playwright, or show the ability to develop these skills. You will know your way around HTML, Javascript and CSS, with knowledge of JQuery, Bootstrap and SQL a bonus.
Your sound knowledge of the theory behind testing will ensure that your skills and effort are used to maximum effect.
You should be comfortable presenting the results of your work to the team and to wider stakeholder groups.
