Toddington Nurseries Ltd are currently recruiting for Seasonal Nursery Workers to join their team based in Barnham, West Sussex.

We are a market leading customer focused organisation that supply high-quality plants to the wholesale market based across 3 sites in West Sussex. We are proud to be part of the Farplants Group who are highly regarded in the industry for their sales and marketing of Horticultural Products.

These seasonal roles involve a wide range of horticultural tasks, and may include:

  • Working as directed by team leaders with the crops to ensure a saleable product is produced.
  • Working within despatch to ensure products are sent to customers in a timely manner - labelling, packing, assembling, and moving of trolleys.
  • Working on our potting and propagation lines.
  • Taking part in plant trimming, lifting, weeding, watering using hose and lance, sweeping up.
  • Must be able to either work within a team or own their own.
  • Working between 3 sites in Barnham.

Ideal candidates would already have experience in Horticulture although not essential and full on the job training will be given, must be willing to work flexibly in a fast paced environment and be prepared to work in all weathers.

On offer is a rate of £10.65 per hour for an average 39 hour week although when needed the candidate must be available as extra hours will be required when busy. The nursery operates 7 days a week in the season between the hours of 7am and 6pm therefore weekends and bank holidays will be normal working days

Whilst Toddington Nurseries are seeking full time seasonal employees, part time working may also be considered. If you are seeking part time work, please state your preferred working hours/days in a covering letter.
