Job description
Collington Winter Environmental are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Seasonal Ecologists to assist during the surveying season (usually defined as May to October, inclusive). The successful candidate will undertake and assist with a variety of protected species surveys throughout the summer season, as well as assist with report writing and survey organisation. The majority of the role will be undertaking nocturnal bat surveys in line with best practice guidance.
Collington Winter Environmental Ltd is a fast-paced consultancy, committed to delivering high quality pragmatic ecological advice. The role will suite an undergraduate/graduate working towards their degree or qualification, or even looking to change their career. Prior experience is not required and we will provide training where necessary, and are willing to learn!
Key Requirements:
- Flexibility to work unusual hours.
- Willing to travel across the UK and stay overnight.
- Demonstrate knowledgeable use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Happy to work outdoors.
- Show proven organisational skills.
- Own your own vehicle that is insured for business use.
All subsistence and hotels costs will be paid for by the company.
You would report to our Bolton office, however our work is Nationwide, and therefore a reasonable amount of travelling should be expected.
