About the role:
We are seeking a talented Scrum Master/IT Project Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing IT Team scrums, alongside a number of hybrid agile/waterfall projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will have experience in Agile methodology and possess excellent communication and leadership skills. The role offers the opportunity to coach and mentor project teams and product owners, to allow them to contribute to the continuous improvement of Sage's Agile/Scrum processes.
Duties include:
- Facilitate, lead and develop Sage's Agile/Scrum methodology, frameworks and processes.
- Manage and guide project teams in the use of Agile/Scrum practices, mentoring project team members on new processes as required.
- Initiate scrums, creating and maintaining the product backlog and other artefacts to support the tracking and reporting of work.
- Plan and organise Agile Ceremonies such as Sprint Planning and Retrospectives.
- Assess the Scrum / Agile maturity of Project Teams & Product Owners, coaching and training these teams & individuals as required to improve Sage's Scrum / Agile processes.
- Develop an appropriate level of reporting for the IT Delivery Manager, Product Owners and other stakeholders.
- Deliver hybrid Agile/Waterfall projects as required, in parallel with Scrum Master responsibilities.
About you
- Extensive experience as a project manager and scrum master within an agile environment.
- Excellent facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, written and verbal communication skills.
- Awareness and experience with widely used Agile techniques.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and practices.
- General understanding of Business Analysis methodologies and practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the business.
- Demonstrable experience delivering continuous improvement to Agile/Scrum processes.
- Full life cycle experience of complex agile & waterfall software development projects.
- Track record of delivering successful change management with business stakeholders across all levels of an organisation.
- Microsoft Dynamics implementation experience.
- Use and configuration of Jira, DevOps and MS Project, or similar.
- Significant vendor management experience.
Qualifications
- Scrum Master®, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, or similar certification.
