Grade 3: £22,681 - £25,138 per annum plus a 20% shift allowance
Fixed term contract for 12 months
The Reception team are key members of the wider Central Services department and provide 24-hour service at Egrove Park, our residential site in Kennington. The Night/Weekend Receptionist is required to work on a rolling rota basis, mostly comprising overnight shifts (18:45 to 08:00), along with weekend daytime shifts (06:45 to 19:00).
This is a varied role, including reception and security duties. Night/Weekend Receptionists are responsible for building security and incident management, in liaison with University Security Services. Applicants should note this is a predominantly lone-worker position.
Responsibilities:
  • Warmly greet and assist all visitors in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Handle room and hotel bookings, checking guests in and out, and processing payments.
  • Efficiently manage telephone and face-to-face enquiries, providing accurate information.
  • Receive and manage post, parcels, and deliveries, ensuring proper distribution.
  • Conduct regular security patrols, ensuring the building is secure and safe.
